After immigrating to New Zealand from the United Kingdom, David Browne established the former known David Browne Contractors Limited in 1972, with it becoming a registered company in 1982. With changing popularities in demanded services, DBC became expertises in mechanical services of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing, as well as the design, installation, and maintenance for Medical Gases.

Starting its private ownership in 2001 in Dunedin, Atmos engineering LTD were specialists in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Metal Fabrication.
